New office in UK: Lauras European headquarters has moved to Newby Hall stables, North Yorkshire – situated between Ripon and Harrogate – just 2 miles from the A1. This welcome move as a result of the growth of the European office, means that we will shortly be able to additionally offer off-site training in stylish office space set in stunning grounds and a beautiful location.

Continuous Improvement Champion’s success nationally recognised

David Webb, of Cadbury’s Somerdale, has been recognised by the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) at their annual Awards for Excellence, 2009.

David was selected by his business to become the site Continuous Improvement Champion in 2008 and began training and coaching with Lauras International to develop into the role. Through the Lauras See One, Try One, Do One workshops, David successfully attained his ILM Site Improvement Champion Development Award. He went on to apply the practical learning to build on the successes achieved during the workshops and to deliver over £173,000 of business benefits. Examples of his successes through his trainees include improving output, reducing changeovers and extending operator training in de-bottlenecking and problem solving skills.

David received his Highly Commended Certificate in person at the ILM awards ceremony at Wembley Stadium.
