The opportunity matrix model uses debottlenecking method thinking, to build a SKU group level based matrix, that determines what the value return would be from manufacturing performance improvement, or the upgrading of manufacturing or packing equipment.
The Opportunity Matrix Model is always created bespoke for a site, taking into the unique configurations and scenarios that exist on each manufacturing site. The final model can then be used to generate multiple improvement scenarios, and compare the relative benefit of improvement on different lines, generate paybacks for capital projects, and compare them with the opportunities available from non-capital improvement.
